THE FIRST MEETING FOR UPGRADING AUDIOPROTHESIS TECHNICIANS AND PHYSICAL THERAPISTS AS PART OF THE IMPACTE 3D PROJECT

As planned in the IMP & ACTE 3D project schedule, the first refresher meeting on the two (02) types of posture orthoses (AFO and KAFO posture for ankle flexum and knee varum) began on Monday, February 12, 2018 at ENAM L with the participation of nine (09) orthoprosthetists and eight (08) physiotherapists from four (04) rehabilitation centers in three (03) countries (the CNAO of Lomé, the CRAO of Dapaong, the CNAO of Mali and the Orthopedic Apparatus Service of the Niamey National Hospital). This meeting, which ended on Friday February 16, 2018, was moderated by several trainers including three (03) orthoprosthetists (AFETSE Matthieu, Orthoprosthetist referent to OADCPH; Sophie POURRET, orthoprosthetist expert from ORTEN, Jérôme CANICAVE, orthoprosthetist and expert 3D of HI) and 02 physiotherapists (Setondji SOSSA, physiotherapist at CNAO and Uta UPREHL, referent physiotherapist at HI). Its overall objective is to update professional orthopedicists and physiotherapists on the orthopedic treatment protocols of the two (02) posture orthoses. Specifically, the participants strengthened their knowledge in terms of clinical evaluation techniques, treatment indication, correct measurement, equipment manufacturing techniques and the process of testing and delivering devices according to the guidelines. international standards.

This training is the first planned on a list of three (03) training courses, the second of which is already scheduled from March 12 to 18.
